I've been doing shows this Fall and I've met some wonderful people. One woman in particular made me laugh. She told me she loved my soap but couldn't possibly bring anymore home because she has almost 20 bars that still haven't been used. This isn't the first time I've heard something similar so that in itself wasn't a big surprise. Many of my customers are "Soap Junkies". She went on to tell me about how she likes to put them out in baskets around her house as air fresheners and she's currently out of baskets, therefore, she can't get anymore soap. She was also talking about needing something for eczema so I showed her the St. John's Wort & Hemp Salve. Out of habit I asked what she's currently bathing with because so often what we are using directly contributes to our skin conditions. Her reply was this, "Same thing my husband uses, $**^%##%." Not really but I don't like to call out other brands. We'll just leave it at this, she wasn't having the fresh and clean as a whistle experience! With all the natural soap she keeps in the house it never occurred to her to take a bar into the shower. We talked about Sodium Lauryl Sulfate being a skin irritant linked to eczema, contact dermatitis, rosacea as well as toxic burden.
She sent me an email and I'd like to share her experience with you.
Since meeting you at the Trinity Craft Fair I threw out all the %$##%^&. I won't let anyone else use it either. Thanks for taking the time to talk with me. The patches of eczema on my face went away after only a few days and now my ankles, elbows and hands are better too. I love the Almond Oatmeal. I like the soap better in the shower than the basket, lol! My family likes it better too although it took some convincing to get my husband to try it. Now he's obsessed with it. You got a customer for life!
